Really Red!!!!

Everyday I try to mamke strive to become more bold! One thing I always wanted to do it rock a super red lip! The other night i was in my local CVS and noted that some Revlon products were 75% off (due to packaging change) making this normally 7.99 lipstick a 1.99 i had to "throw it in the bag" I can't wait to try it out , keep yall posted!

Revlon Photoready!!!!

Revlon is really trying to keep up with the make up big dogs by releasing their version of a HD foundation this Feb/Mar 2010 called PhotoReady. It is currently available in some store as a "trial" (revlon often does this with new products) and i went to my local CVS and scoop this one up!!! It claims to give "Perfected airbrushed skin in any light" It is also oil and fragrance free. There was only 10 colors (I know not much a selection) so i pick it up in cappuccino 011 ( the next shade down was rich ginger 09 there is no 010 at the moment). I noticed it was lighter then the Revlon colorstay in cappuccino, more similar to SFF in NW 45

(l to r SFF Nw45 Photoready in cappuccino 011 and Colorstay in cappuccino note thecolorstay is darker and redder)

The consistency was also less runny then colorstay abd way easier to blend. The finish is a dewy "sheen" that can easily be altered with a powder. It also has a pump, which was one of my major gripes with colorstay! It the standard 1oz/30ml of product and has spf of 20. Overall i'm pleased with this foundation! please see my youtube for a more detailed view coming soon(http://www.youtube.com/user/dahoodmodel)

FOTD: Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation and Mineral Finishing powder

I must say that trevlon is becoming one of my favorite line, the color stay foundation has inspired me to try more of their products, so i picked up the colorstay mineral finishing powder in Sunkiss. I used it instead of MAC MSFN in deep dark, i must say it was beautiful. Unlike MSFN, this did not oxidize and stay in place like the foundation, however it did not control shine (nor does MSFN). Overall i like this powder thumbs up!!!

My Revlon Colorstay review!!!!!

Photobucket

So, i got this foundation a few weeks and I must say I love it. I had given up on DS ( drugstore) foundations but with all the buzz about this on YT and make-up boards I had to give it a try!!! I got his foundation in the oily/combo formula ( there's also a dry/normal formula) in shade 410 Cappuccino. Its 30 ml/ 1 Fl oz of product and run between 10-13 bucks ( half the price of studio fix fluid ) I found this shade to have "peachy undertones" vs the red undertones in NW 45, in spite of this i found it to be a very good match. Its oil-free and transfer resistant and seems to run true of it "all-day" staying power. Coverage-wise it is a build able medium to full coverage, yet a thinner consistency. The smell is kind of weird and do to the lack of a pump the packaging is mess and awkward, yet this things can be over looked. Overall, this is a great foundation!!!!
